Yeah, it's a bad, bad, bad thing. In light of all of this, my ongoing anxieties that I've sold my soul by working for a Catholic school have been ratcheted up to the extreme, and it's not at all clear to me how to resolve this particular quandary. But for all that I pity myself in my situation, I feel oh-so-much worse for faithful Catholics who hate this policy of their own church.

I grew up Catholic and this kind of thing just makes me sick. What's sad is that there are all kinds of wonderful well-meaning people within the Church. But the leadership sucks.
